Sir Turnip Whiskers was a little field mouse who lived in a cozy stone house beneath the roots of an old oak tree. He wore a small green cap sewn from soft moss and always kept a few seeds in his pocket, ready to plant.
His greatest pride was the garden in front of his house — a tiny patch of earth where carrots, turnips, peas, and fragrant herbs grew happily. Every morning Sir Turnip Whiskers stepped onto his doorstep, looked over his vegetables, and greeted the sun.
One day a strong storm scattered his seeds all across the meadow. Instead of feeling sad, the little mouse decided to gather them and plant them wherever he could. When spring arrived, the entire meadow had turned into a great vegetable garden that fed all the animals in the forest.
From that day on, everyone called him the Keeper of the Garden, and his little home always smelled of fresh turnips and adventure.
